Business Requirements for School



Our Vision

To design and develop a website that is visually appealing and promotes your school. The website will have a customized look-and-feel with great level of user-friendliness. The website will be search engine optimized to gain better traction with popular search engines. The entire structure will be easily manageable through the admin panel.

User Module

Section 1: Homepage Design

Homepage will be designed in such a way that it showcases the facilities offered by your school and will have a very user-friendly navigation system. There will be links to most of the inside pages on the homepage to allow one-click navigation.
The homepage will have the following features:
Tabs: The number of tabs will be fixed on the website. The following tabs will be available on the homepage:
-      Informative page tabs: Fixed tabs, like Home, About Us, as decided by the client, will allow the user to view their description pages. The admin will be able to update the description for those tabs.
-      Class: The user will be able to view the classes the school is teaching.
-      Achievements: The user will be able to view the achievements made by the students of the school
-      Gallery: On mouse over the tab, the user will be able to select from the following options:
o    Image Gallery
o    Video Gallery
-      Contact Us: On clicking the tab, the user will be redirected to a form which will allow a user to send an enquiry form to the admin of the website.
-      Thought for the Day
-      Newsletters: The user will be able to subscribe/unsubscribe to the newsletter service by providing his name and e-mail ID.
-      News and Events: News and Events will be visible to the user in a scrolling manner.
-      Description Pages: The user can view the description pages. The page, its title and content will be created by admin using page creator.
-      Links:
o    Downloads
o    Testimonials
o    FAQ’s
o    Sitemap: Breadcrumb navigation will be provided to the user.
-      Chat: A user will be able to chat with an online school representative.
Note: The OGG Chat tool will be provided by the client and integrated by xxx.
Banners: The banners will be placed on homepage and the inside pages which will be manageable by the admin.

Section 2: Class

On clicking Class tab, all the classes and subjects taught in them will be listed as links. Clicking the link will redirect the user to a CMS description page.

Section 3: Achievements

Achievements of the students will be listed as:
-      Title
-      Image

Section 4: Gallery

The user will be able to view the image or video galleries posted by the admin. The user will be able to download the videos which have been set as ‘Allow Download’ by the admin.

Section 5: Contact Us

The user can also post an enquiry to the administrator directly that will be tracked in the admin panel. The Contact Us section will take the user to the page, where the user will have to provide the following details:
-      First Name* (Textbox)
-      Last Name (Textbox)
-      E-Mail* (Textbox)
-      Mobile Number* (Textbox)
-      Phone Number (Textbox)
-      Enquiry (Text area)
-      Captcha code
-      Send Enquiry (Button)

Address Details

The address details and the Google map location of the school will also be mentioned.

Section 6: News and Events

The following details will be visible to the user on the homepage:
-      News Title
-      News Image
-      Posted By
-      Short Description
-      Read More (Button)

Detailed Description Page

The detailed description will have the CMS description also.

Section 7: Downloads

The user will be able to download the attachments from this section. The following details will be visible:
-      Title
-      Short Description
-      Download (Button)

Section 8: Testimonials

The homepage will have testimonials section. The testimonials will be manageable from the admin panel.

Section 9: FAQs

These sections will have some of the frequently asked questions by the users along with their answers. The questions and answers will be managed from the backend.

Section 10: Descriptive Pages

There will be links to the various descriptive pages. The title and its content will be manageable by the admin.

Admin Module      

This will be a password protected panel, which can be accessed anytime and anywhere using a PC or laptop connected to the Internet.

Section 1: Manage Class

The admin will be able to add, edit, delete, activate and deactivate subjects under each class. To add a subject description, the admin will provide the following input:
-      Choose Class (Dropdown; Fixed)
-      Choose Subject (Dropdown)
-      Description (CMS)

Section 2: Manage Achievements

The admin will be able to add, edit, delete, activate and deactivate achievements. To add an achievement the admin will provide the following input:
-      Title (Textbox)
-      Image (Upload)
-      Image Alt Tag (Textbox)

Section 3: Manage Gallery

The admin will be able to add, edit, delete, activate and deactivate galleries of images and videos. An alt tag field will be there for every image. While adding a video he can set a video as ‘Allow Download’ to allow the user to download the video.

Section 4: Manage CMS Pages

The content on the static web pages can be added or edited using an easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS).

Section 5: Manage Descriptive Pages

The admin will be able to add, edit, delete, activate, and deactivate descriptive pages using a page creator. He will be able to manage the tile and content of these pages.

Section 6:  Manage Contact Us Enquiries

Any enquiry posted by a visitor on the Contact Us page can be tracked by the admin in this section. Admin will have the control to choose how many records need to be displayed per page. Admin will be able to delete the records, if necessary. Admin can reply to enquiries individually, or select multiple and respond to them with a common answer.

Section 7: Manage Newsletters

Admin will be able to view a list of e-mail IDs of the members subscribed to the newsletter service. The records will be displayed in pages and the admin will be able to set the number of listings to be displayed per page. Admin will be able to perform a search for subscribers based on their e-mail IDs and also delete subscriber records from the database.
The admin can preview the mail before it is sent and send the mail to either all the subscribers or only the ones selected.

Section 8: Manage News and Events

The admin will be able to add, edit, delete, activate, and deactivate. To add news the admin will provide the following input:
-      News Title (Textbox)
-      News Image (Upload)
-      Image Alt Tag (Textbox)
-      Posted By (Textbox)
-      Short Description (Text area)
-      Detailed News (CMS)

Section 9: Manage Downloads

The admin will be able to add, edit, delete, activate and deactivate downloads available for a user. To add a download, the admin will provide the following input:
-      Document Title (Textbox)
-      Description (Text area)
-      Attachment (Upload; PDF/DOC/TXT)

Section 10: Manage Testimonials

Admin can add, edit, delete, activate, and deactivate testimonials in this section. To add a testimonial, admin will need to provide the following details:
-      Name (Textbox)
-      E-Mail ID (Textbox)
-      Description (Text area)

Section 11: Manage FAQs

The admin will be able to add unlimited FAQs and modify or delete the existing for users’ help.

Section 12: Manage Search Engine Optimization

Admin of the website will be able to update the Meta tags of the website. If admin update the keywords, Meta tag of such a page which already has Meta tag’s, system will generate a warning message to only change those keywords with which the site is not picked by search engines.

Section 13: Manage Admin Settings

Admin will be able to update the password of the admin control panel and the e-mail ID used to dispatch automated mails from website.
